Full-body tracking and object tracking dependent on content compatibility and the number of VIVE Ultimate Trackers and other tracked devices used. Compatible content and devices sold separately. PC VR titles are available on VIVE Focus Vision and VIVE XR Elite via VIVE Streaming and on VIVE Focus 3 via VIVE Business Streaming. Third-party VR headsets must access compatible SteamVR content via VIVE Hub. System requirements must be met.

VIVE Ultimate Tracker requires a VIVE Wireless Dongle to connect with compatible devices, which currently include VIVE Focus Vision, VIVE Focus 3, VIVE XR Elite, and third-party SteamVR-supported headsets (support). VIVE Wireless Dongle and compatible devices sold separately. Each VIVE Wireless Dongle can connect with one to five (1–5) VIVE Ultimate Trackers. For VIVE Focus Vision, VIVE Focus 3, and VIVE XR Elite, VIVE Wireless Dongle can be plugged directly into the headset for standalone VR content or PC VR content using wireless streaming. It should be plugged into the PC for PC VR content using wired streaming. For third-party SteamVR-supported headsets, VIVE Wireless Dongle must be plugged into the PC. When VIVE Wireless Dongle is plugged into the PC, VIVE Ultimate Tracker must be paired using SteamVR via VIVE Hub.

Using the VIVE Ultimate Tracker in extreme environments, such as those with low light or direct sunlight, is not recommended.

Play area size and conditions dependent on VR headset. For safety reasons, the play area should measure at least 3 m x 3 m, and a distance of 1.5 m should be kept from any obstacles.

For optimal performance, the VR headset paired with VIVE Ultimate Tracker should also be connected to 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

PC VR content is accessible on VIVE Focus Vision and VIVE XR Elite via VIVE Streaming within VIVE Hub on PC. System requirements must be met. VR‑ready PC required. VR headset and VR/MR titles each sold separately. Latency and visual quality of VR/MR content are dependent on PC specs, software settings, and network connection. To connect to a PC via DisplayPort, VIVE Focus Vision also requires VIVE Wired Streaming Cable (DisplayPort mode compatible) and VIVE Wired Streaming Converter (DisplayPort mode compatible), both of which are included in VIVE Wired Streaming Kit (DisplayPort mode compatible). DisplayPort mode is not available on VIVE XR Elite.
